How to Correctly Sanitize the Bathroom
Posted by admin on Oct 10, 2021
Since you depend on your bathroom to keep your body clean, it's fair to say that it has to be the neatest room in your house. Because of the added water, steam, and dirt, your space can easily become home to bacteria, fungus, and unwanted odors. When the time comes that you need to give your entire bathroom a big refresh, you can follow these simple but effective tips and tricks on how to clean a bathroom.
5 Steps to Get a Spotless and Shiny Bathroom
Before cleaning, make sure you get the tools and cleaning products you need to clean your bathroom. Once you are ready, you must remove all hair products and other items from the bathroom to focus solely on cleaning the areas of the bathroom. This will make your cleaning more efficient.
#1 Dust and Sweep All Superficies
To remove dust, take the duster with a long handle to remove cobwebs from corners, light fixtures, vents, and walls. Once you have done this, sweep or vacuum the floors to pick up hair and other debris that may have accumulated on them. This will give you a thorough cleaning.
#2 Apply a Cleaner to The Shower and Bathtub
Apply an all-purpose cleaner if you clean regularly or an acid-based cleaner if you have significant buildup in the shower. Don't forget the shower track and the inside of the shower door, if applicable. Let it soak in, and then wash the surfaces thoroughly.
#3 Recover the White of Your Shower and Bathtub
At this point, the cleaner will have done much of the work for you, allowing you to lightly scrub loose dirt and buildup. Wipe all walls, floors, and other surfaces before rinsing. You can use special bathroom sponges or fiber cloths for this purpose.
#4 Clean the Toilet
Sometimes we think that turning down the lever keeps the toilet clean, but this is far from the truth. Spray or mist a toilet-specific cleaner if there's buildup, then scrub with a toilet brush before flushing. Spray the outside of the toilet, and if possible, peel back the seat too deep clean. Finish by washing the surface of your toilet from head to toe, then wipe or flush.
#5 Scrub the Floor
The floor may look clean, but it may contain accumulated dirt, liquids, or more. Dip the mop into the bucket of cleaning solution, wring out the excess water and mop the bathroom floor as many times as necessary, getting into all the corners. Once dry, replace the wastebasket and your freshly laundered carpets.
